Professor Emeritus Dr Rene Verdonk obtained his medical degree in July 1971 at Gent State University in Belgium. He was Board certified in orthopaedic surgery in 1976 and presented his PhD thesis on Viable meniscal allografts in 1992. Since 1992 he was Full time Professor of Orthopaedic Surgery and head of the department of Orthopaedic Surgery and Traumatology, Ghent University Hospital, De Pintelaan 185, B-9000 Gent (Belgium). He is emeritus professor since 01 10 2011
In the course of his career he has been involved in the advancement of trauma surgery and in knee pathology and takes a special interest in cruciate and meniscal surgery. Currently, he is also involved in cartilage pathology and treatment.
He has published in many review Journals.
He was Editor in Chief of the KSSTA journal (knee surgery and sports trauma and arthroscopy) and later became senior editor since 2013. He is a member of many scientific societies, such as the Belgian Society for Orthopaedic Surgery and Traumatology, of which he was President in 1991 – 1992. He is a founding member of BOTA (Belgian Orthopaedic Trauma Association).
He is Past President of ESSKA (president 1995-1996) and past chairman of the basic science committee. He is a member of the ISAKOS strategic planning committee and of the ISAKOS Education Committee. He is also a member of AAOS, and corresponding member of the American Orthopaedic Association (AOA) and of the Orthopaedic Trauma Association (OTA). He was nominated to the prestigious Hall of Fame of the AOSSM in 2011. During the recent meeting in Lyon in June 2015 he was awarded the prestigious honorary ISAKOS membership. He is now an active consultant in the ULB Erasmus univ Hospital dept of orthopaedics and trauma (dir. Prof Dr F Schuind ) involved in all aspect of knee pathology and treatment.

Dr Dave Lee is the Head, Division of Sports Surgery, Department of Orthopedics, National University Hospital. His main interests are complex knee ligament reconstruction; meniscus and cartilage preservation surgery.
He has authored more than 80 peer reviewed articles and 10 book chapters on sports surgery. He has delivered over 100 podium lectures as faculty in local and overseas conferences.
Dr Lee holds appointments on the boards of ASEAN Society for Sports Medicine and Arthroscopy (ASSA) and Asia Pacific Knee Arthroscopy and Sports Medicine Society (APKASS). He is the past president of ASSA(2023) .
He also serves on the Knee preservation committee of the International Society of Arthroscopy, Knee surgery and Orthopedic Sports Medicine (ISAKOS) since 2021. Dr Lee is appointed to the Editorial boards of the American Journal of Sports Medicine, Arthroscopy Journal, Video Journal of Sports Medicine and Singapore Medical Journal.

Associate Professor Chanakarn Phornphutkul, MD, is a Thai-US orthopaedic surgeon specializing in sports medicine and trauma, serving as Chief of the Sports Medicine Unit at Chiang Mai University.
He holds extensive leadership roles, including ISAKOS Board Member (2025–2029) and past president of multiple regional sports medicine societies. With international fellowships in the USA, he has authored numerous peer-reviewed publications, contributed to textbooks, and delivered lectures globally.

He specialises in all aspects of knee surgery, with an interest in ACL and ligament reconstruction, Robotic Knee Replacement, Sports Surgery as well as hip replacement.
Dr Radic has a strong focus on individualised patient care. He takes pride on understanding how your issue is affecting your life and works closely with the patient and their allied health team to get the best possible results.
Dr Radic is passionate about teaching the next generation of Orthopaedic Surgeons. He holds a position as Clinical Associate Professor at the University of Western Australia School of Medicine and Surgery and is the current Director of Training for the AOA Orthopaedic Training program at Royal Perth Hospital. He also sits on the national Accreditation Committee for the AOA.
He is a Founder and director of the Perth Knee Fellowship, a fellowship attracting young Orthopaedic Surgeons from all over the world who wish to gain subspecialty skills in Knee Surgery. He is also a Co-founder and director of the POSM Research Institute.
He consults for several professional sporting teams, having treated numerous elite level athletes from around the world, including AFL and AFLW, ARU, Rugby World Cup and Super Rugby, Australian Cricket and the WACA, both Mens and Womens Perth teams, Olympic and WAIS athletes and Ballet to name a few.

Prof Dr Bancha Chernchujit is a leading Thai orthopaedic surgeon and Professor in the Department of Orthopaedic Surgery, Faculty of Medicine, Thammasat University. A graduate of Siriraj Medical School, Mahidol University, he completed residencies in orthopaedics and fellowships in sports orthopaedics (Technical University of Munich) and shoulder surgery (University of Wuerzburg), earning his Dr.med in Germany.
His expertise spans sports medicine, arthroscopic surgery, joint reconstruction, and innovative surgical techniques, with numerous peer-reviewed publications and book chapters. Prof. Chernchujit has delivered lectures and live surgical demonstrations internationally, contributing to advancements in shoulder, knee, and ligament repair. Professor Dr Jae-Chul (JC) Yoo is a leading orthopaedic surgeon specializing in shoulder surgery, arthroscopy, and sports medicine. He completed premedical studies at Northwestern University, earned his medical degree from Korea University in 1994, and finished orthopaedic training at Korea University Medical Center.
After military service as a medical officer, he completed fellowships in knee and shoulder arthroscopy and sports medicine, followed by a year in the Orthopedic Biomechanical Lab at UC Irvine under Prof. Thay Q. Lee. Currently a Professor at Samsung Medical Center, Sungkyunkwan University, Dr. Yoo has authored over 100 domestic and international publications and serves as Secretary General of the Korean Shoulder and Elbow Society.

Associate Professor Dr. Chamnanni Rungprai is a Thai orthopaedic surgeon specializing in foot and ankle surgery, sports medicine, and adult hip/knee reconstruction. A graduate with 2nd class honors from Phramongkutklao Hospital and College of Medicine, he completed multiple fellowships at the University of Iowa (2012–2015) in surgery, biomechanics, and sports medicine.
He has held faculty positions at Phramongkutklao Hospital since 2011, authored numerous peer-reviewed publications, won multiple international awards, and served on national and international orthopaedic committees. His expertise spans advanced reconstructive procedures, arthroscopy, deformity correction, and clinical biomechanics research.

Dr Nicholas Yeo is the Medical Director and Senior Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon at Activ Orthopaedic Centre, located in Orchard.
Dr Yeo provides services in foot and ankle surgery, sports injuries, and reconstructive procedures. He performs minimally invasive surgical techniques and utilises 3D printing technology in orthopaedic procedures.
Dr Yeo graduated from the National University of Singapore in 2007. He completed his specialist training in Orthopaedic Surgery and received his Fellowship from the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh (Orthopaedics and Trauma) in 2015. He received the Health Manpower Development Plan (HMDP) Scholarship from the Ministry of Health for subspecialty training in Foot and Ankle surgery at the University of British Columbia, Canada. He completed an additional AO fellowship at the University Hospital Carl Gustav Carus, Germany, in lower limb trauma and reconstructive surgery.
Dr Yeo served as the Director of the Foot and Ankle Service at Singapore General Hospital (SGH) from 2020 to 2023 and currently serves as a Visiting Consultant. He holds positions as Clinical Assistant Professor at Duke-NUS Medical School and Clinical Lecturer at both the Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine and Lee Kong Chian Medical School. He provides clinical advice to SGH's 3D Printing Centre for orthopaedic surgery applications.
Beyond his clinical and academic commitments, Dr Yeo is involved in community service. As Chairman of the Queenstown Multi-Service Centre, he supports day rehabilitation services for the elderly. He is also a passionate advocate for sports medicine, drawing from his own experiences as a competitive tennis player.
Dr Yeo had serveral awards, including the Singapore Health Quality Service Award (Gold, 2023), the Singapore Orthopaedic Association Young Orthopaedic Investigator Award (2014), and several SGH Best Service Awards. He also does research, where he has published extensively in peer-reviewed journals and contributed to international orthopaedic conferences.
